Tried these at the range this morning and was very pleased with their performance. The volume dials worked great at the lowest setting, allowing voice and range commands to come through clearly but blocking gun noise at the same time. I don’t think I’ll ever have to turn the volume up beyond the lowest setting. Great for the price. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. I bought two of these. Can instruct her in normal tone of voice and more important I can hear her. I would recommend them. Light weight, comfortable and they work well. Excellent masking of loud sounds. I have used these from shooting to launching fireworks. Hearing at low level is superb and the adjustable volume controls are a great feature.
